RxPost Success Story: Sale of Short Stock, Price Increased, Expiring Neomycin

RxPost is designed to be a full-service prescription drug inventory exchange platform, where members can list inventory and purchase listed inventory at any time. Sometimes, a little extra help can be needed, and the RxPost team is happy to lend a hand.

Recently, an Independent Pharmacy Client (for privacy purposes, let’s call him Bob) needed to acquire some Neomycin for a customer. Neomycin had recently gone through a price increase that insurance hadn’t recognized in their reimbursements. Plus, Bob was finding Neomycin in short stock from the wholesalers. To make matters worse, he wasn’t able to find it at secondary wholesalers at a price that made sense. Bob turned to RxPost, where he found a listing for Neomycin on the platform for sale, but it was nearing expiration and the price was higher than he could afford. He contacted the RxPost team to ask for assistance.

RxPost reached out to the seller to inquire about flexibility in price and was able to negotiate an acceptable deal for both Bob and the seller. Bob was able to procure the medicine he needed for his customer at a price he could afford, and the seller was able to offload a high-cost drug that would have expired without selling, resulting in medication waste and lost revenue.

We just love a happy ending!
