The California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) announced both loan repayment programs and scholarships will be available for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

The California State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) increases the number of primary care physicians, dentists, dental hygienists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, pharmacists, and mental/behavioral health providers practicing in federally designated California Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA).

• Pharmacy Technicians

The Allied Healthcare Scholarship (AHSP) increases the number of appropriately trained allied healthcare professionals providing direct patient care in a qualified facility in California.
